Winning on the road will not be easy, especially when playing in an environment such as Camp Randall Stadium, the home of the Wisconsin Badgers. The USC Trojans' defense will have to step up, and the Men of Troy will need to slow down the running threat posed by Badgers quarterback Colton Joseph.
Colton Joseph is a transfer who has carried the Badgers' offense. He made up for inconsistent receiver play by being the Badgers' leading rusher. The offense goes through him, so the game plan for the Trojans will be solely to stop him.
For Wisconsin, its defense carries a heavier task in this game against USC. Jayden Maiava is an elite quarterback, but the run game for USC, if you let it, can impose its will as well. King Miller and Waymond Jordan are a dangerous duo. This is not a one-dimensional offense the Badgers are facing. In the passing game, Lincoln Riley does a great job of getting things going for his playmakers. Wisconsin has an elite secondary, but USC has way too many weapons to take out of the game. If this game were to turn into a shootout, Wisconsin would be in a ton of trouble because it cannot hang with USC in that regard.
I think the Trojans' defense will be the best defense in this game because guys like Jahkeem Stewart and Luke Wafle will make it a tough day for Joseph. USC has the personnel to bottle him up. I think this will be another week where the Badgers are struggling to put up points. I see the cap for their offense being right below 20 points. That plays right into the game USC wants.
In the end, the Trojans' offense will be too much for the Badgers. Wisconsin will challenge USC, making them earn every point and yard. USC will still find their way to scoring 38 points, and this game will go to show why Lincoln Riley is one of the best offensive minds in the country. Jayden Maiava will also boost his case for more respect with a dominant showing against a talented defense.
