A tearful Paris Fury has revealed how she was left 'scared' over husband Tyson's alarming health decline, with the heavyweight superstar opening up on his paralysing drink and drug addiction in a new documentary.

Tyson, 38, saw his life spiral out of control after reaching the pinnacle of boxing following his heavyweight title triumph over arch rival Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

The Gypsy King, speaking in Netflix's new documentary Tyson Fury, confessed how he had lost his 'whole point of existence' after his win in Dusseldorf, leading to a crippling addiction to alcohol and cocaine.

In the documentary trailer, Tyson says: 'All I wanted to was beat Klitschko. It was an obsession for me.

'I'd achieved all my childhood dreams, but my whole point of existence had been taken away. I didn't want to live.'

Tyson's wife and childhood sweetheart Paris, could only watch on as her husband's life unravelled, and was emotional as she recounted the traumatising episode.

'Straight after [the Klitschko fight], Tyson said to me "this is as good as it is ever going to get". I didn't understand at the time what he meant,' she says.

'The Tyson I knew was gone and I was so scared.'

The documentary, which charts Tyson's incredible rise to heavyweight champion of the world, tells how he grew up surrounded by strong male figures - where discussing emotions was off limits.

'Growing up in my family, there was no emotion shown. They were all hard nuts. Like 50cent said: "Show no love, love will get you killed."'

Fury fought back from his addiction problems to make his boxing comeback in 2018, before triumphing over Deontay Wilder in a sensational heavyweight trilogy against the big-hitting American - where he won the WBC title.

The Gypsy King sought to unify the heavyweight division against the all-conquering Oleksandr Usyk, but twice fell short in a pair of thrilling contests against the Ukrainian.

Netflix cameras have documented the lives of the Fury family since 2023. The latest series centred on Fury's decision to come out of retirement, plus the family's move from Morecambe to the Isle of Wight.

The streaming giant will broadcast Fury's mega-fight against Anthony Joshua in Cardiff on December 11.
