While Lamine Yamal might have been hit with a Ballon d’Or snub last week, Barcelona’s 19-year-old sensation has once again shattered even more Champions League records.
Watching the Spanish icons cruise their way to a routine 3-0 victory against Aston Villa in Catalonia on Tuesday night, Yamal opened the scoring after just seven minutes and extended on his sensational European romp.
In fact, Barcelona’s academy graduate notched a 14th Champions League strike of his carrer in midweek and became the highest-scoring teenager in European history.
Playing a leading role and underlining his status as a generational talent as Spain got their hands on a second World Cup crown over the summer, Yamal is enjoying another remarkable run of form.
Along with notching a consolation strike during Barca’s thrilling 4-2 defeat away at reigning European champions PSG on October 20th, the 37-cap international has already registered seven direct goal contributions in his first four appearances during this season’s tournament (three goals, four assists).
Helping Barcelona successfully defend their La Liga crown last season and continuing to stake his claim as next year’s leading Ballon d’Or contender, Yamal has already recorded 17 goals for club and country since opening up the 2026/27 campaign.
