Scotland welcome back British and Irish Lions duo Huw Jones and Blair Kinghorn to their side, as Gregor Townsend names a strong 23-man squad to take on the All Blacks.

The pair have not featured for Scotland since the 2026 Six Nations, but come into an experienced squad as Scotland bid for a first-ever victory over New Zealand.

A win for Townsend’s side could also see them climb top of the Nations Championship Northern Hemisphere pool, following a run of two wins from three back in July.

British and Irish Lions return in strong Scotland team

It’s an all-Glasgow Warriors back-three this weekend with Kyle Rowe named at full-back and Kyle Steyn and Jamie Dobie selected on the wings. Jones’ return also sees him reunite with centre partner and captain Sione Tuipulotu in midfield, with the Toulon man wearing 13 and the skipper wearing 12. Finn Russell and Ben White start in the half-back spots.

Russell will also win his 96th Test cap, as he closes in on a century of appearances for Scotland.

Jack Dempsey gets the nod at number eight, with Rory Darge and Matt Fagerson joining him in the back-row. Scott Cummings and Gregor Brown form the lock pairing, while Zander Fagerson, Ewan Ashman and Rory Sutherland are the starting front-row.
