Enniskillen biker Britton signs new racing team deal
Enniskillen biker Loris Britton has agreed a new contract deal.

ENNISKILLEN road racer Loris Britton will embark on his first full season with TH Racing in 2027 after completing an emotional comeback campaign with the team.

The son of late racing legend Richard Britton will have one of the team’s Honda CBR600RR Supersport machines at his disposal, with the possibility of adding a Supertwin to his line-up.

Britton rode for TH Racing at selected races this year, gradually rebuilding his confidence and pace following a devastating pre-season crash which threatened to derail his campaign.

Back in action

The 2026 season began in difficult circumstances for the Fermanagh man, who suffered multiple fractures to his lower back, internal bleeding and an eye injury in the accident.

He required emergency treatment at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital before beginning a lengthy rehabilitation programme.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Britton worked tirelessly to return to competitive racing, eventually climbing back aboard the TH Racing Honda and steadily finding his rhythm again.

His comeback gathered momentum, with the Enniskillen rider setting new PBs and securing third and fourth-place finishes in a cup event as he brought the campaign to a positive conclusion.

Now, with a full season ahead of him, Britton is looking forward to building on the progress made during his return to the track.

“I’m very happy to be linking up again with TH Racing for the 2027 season, after having a bumpy start to the 2026 season,” he said.

“The team gave me the confidence again and the machinery to feel comfortable, along with enjoying my racing, because that’s what it’s all about.

“I can’t thank the team enough for giving me the opportunity to have a fresh start and a solid plan for 2027. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my racing.”

Ready to race

TH Racing welcomed the announcement, highlighting the improvement Britton showed during his appearances with the team this year.

“We are all happy to have Loris in the team,” the team statement said.

“The name Britton shares a lot of history in our team and it’s a pleasure to be in the position to help the lad.

“Loris rode at several USB rounds in 2026 for us and with each race came an improved rider. It was only fair to try and continue that building block to the next stage.

“We look forward to working with Loris in 2027.”

Britton previously described the team as more than just a racing outfit, crediting its support and advice with helping him rediscover his confidence after the crash.

His return had been warmly welcomed by the local community and wider motorsport fraternity, with fundraising efforts during his recovery and messages of support from well-wishers.
