The January window is less than two months away and Chelsea are looking to bring a midfielder to the club after losing Enzo Fernandez. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a massive fan of their latest target.
Alex Scott remains the priority, but plenty of midfielders have been touted with a move to Chelsea in the winter market. There is also a debate over whether Chelsea actually need to sign a midfielder in January.
Romeo Lavia and Jordan Henderson have provided excellent foil for Moises Caicedo, with Reece James injured while Valentin Barco has impressed when given a chance. But they are in the market for a signing.
In the summer, Nottingham Forest almost signed Everton ace Harrison Armstrong. Now, the teen Toffee has emerged as an option for Chelsea ahead of the January window, and it comes as very little surprise.
Chelsea are always keeping an eye on the world’s best teenage talent. Now, reports say Armstrong is the latest option added to Chelsea’s shortlist, and former Blues star Dewsbury-Hall is a massive fan of his.

What is Chelsea's best XI when everyone is fit? Here is our team! – What do you think?
Back in August, Dewsbury-Hall told Everton’s website: “Harrison is 19 but plays way beyond his years. He’s got some engine on him, and won’t stop running. He’s got that Everton spirit as well, which I love.”
He continued: “Harrison was exceptional today. He runs all day. If he keeps playing like that it will be hard to take him out of the team.” Clearly, Everton and Dewsbury-Hall would be gutted if Armstrong departed.
Everton’s finances have improved since they were handed a points deduction, but they are far and away from being in the clear. The Friedkin Group has converted £450.7m of shareholder loans into equity.
They have also secured £350m of long-term stadium financing, helping them to reduce debt and in turn, balance the books. But Everton have also shown a willingness to sell big in order to aid long-term gain.
Armstrong came close to a move to Forest in the summer and clearly, Everton were willing to do a deal or his departure would have been quashed at the first stage. He will represent pure profit for the Toffees.
Chelsea can take advantage of that. While it is likely he will cost north of the £40m fee bandied around in the summer, the Blues have the cash to sign Armstrong and Everton would be foolish to ignore a big bid.
