Robert Plant was amongst those in the crowd watching Wolves play Portsmouth yesterday evening (Tuesday, October 20).
The Led Zeppelin singer, who has recently been on tour in the US with his band Saving Grace with Suzi Dian, has been a lifelong supporter of Wolves and was named a vice president of his boyhood club in 2009.
Plant has long maintained strong ties to the Black Country and Worcestershire, areas he has frequently referenced throughout his career, and is often spotted at the matches.
In the match, Terry Devlin denied Wolves victory just as the hosts’ inspired substitutions again looked to prove decisive as Portsmouth drew 1-1 at Molineux in the Championship.
The scoreline was harsh on Wolves as Chirewa hit the bar and was denied another goal, while Mateus Mane and Fer Lopez missed chances in a dominant second-half performance.
Portsmouth failed to hit the target until Devlin struck in the 86th minute.
