England face Croatia at Wembley before travelling to Madrid to take on group leaders Spain, as Thomas Tuchel’s side aim to book their place in the Nations League quarter-finals
Thomas Tuchel is announcing his England squad this morning ahead of crunch Nations League games against Croatia and Spain, as the Three Lions aim to book their place in the quarter-finals.
England are third in Group A3 after four games, having won three and lost one, to Spain at Wembley. They host Croatia on Thursday before travelling to Madrid to take on Spain on Sunday, and a point from either of those two games would be enough to qualify for the knockout rounds in March.
Tuchel was unimpressed by Cole Palmer’s withdrawal from September’s squad and must decide whether to offer the Chelsea playmaker another call-up this time around. Declan Rice was another player who missed the last camp to manage his workload and the Arsenal midfielder could return to the fold this time around.
