Endrick's agent has admitted they are monitoring his future ahead of the January transfer window amid Liverpool links. The Real Madrid startlet was mooted as a potential option in attack for the Reds in the summer. At the time, Andoni Iraola's side were on the hunt for attacking reinforcements to join Bradley Barcola at Anfield with Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr among those on the shortlist. The Times reported that Liverpool had asked about the 20-year-old's availability but Los Blancos dismissed the interest as they were not looking to let the Brazilian leave. Endrick has featured four times in all competitions for Real Madrid as his playing time has been limited due to the embarrassment of riches in forward areas at the Bernabeu. Roc Nation Sports International president Michael Yormack has claimed that his client is eager to play for the Spanish giants, he needs to find playing time to aid his development.

Andoni Iraola and Liverpool are passing more and more tests - now for another exciting one

OPINION

He said via Sports Boom: "I think it’s a fluid process. I think we have to see how things go from now until the end of the year, before the next transfer window.

"I visited him a few weeks ago in Madrid; we had a great chat, he’s eager to play, so we’ll see what happens.

"He loves Madrid, he loves the team, and his teammates, but at the end of the day when you think about the lifespan of a career, it’s short, and he wants to maximise it.

"I think his first choice would be to stay at Real Madrid, but he’s got to play."

While Liverpool added Barcola to their attacking firepower, they failed to add reinforcements as they missed out on Minteh and Sarr. Endrick poses a young, cheap and exciting opportunity in the market should the Reds consider a loan move for the highly-rated Brazilian.

Barcola is beginning to show his quality for Liverpool, while Rio Ngumoha delivered an inspirational performance to help the Reds beat Villarreal in the Champions League, this week.

Cody Gakpo returned from the injury he picked up during the international break but his time on the sidelines highlighted the lack of resources at Iraola's disposal in forward areas, with Alexander Isak also receiving a knock in September.

The Basque manager defended the movement in the summer, he said: “I’m very happy with all the signings we’ve made. I know the next question: ‘Do you want more signings in other positions?’

"At the end the club has decided those signings we have done are the ones that improved our team and our position.

“There were other options we decided not to take, for different reasons: sometimes it is sporting reasons because they don’t improve what you have, sometimes it is economical reasons as it didn’t make sense in terms of the market to do those movements.

"But I’m happy now I know what we have, I have a lot of quality in the team and now it is the moment for us, for the players, for me to develop what we have.”
