Dave Allen thinks Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury need to steer well clear of one of their current heavyweight rivals.
Both men are former two-time world champions but neither currently holds a belt, having both twice lost to Oleksandr Usyk, though the WBA belt will be in the line when the fight.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Allen had plenty of praise for Dubois.
“This fella could go down as one of the best heavyweights of all time. If you strip it back, wins and loses, who he’s boxed, how you did it. He’s already up there as one of the best British heavyweights of all time.”
He was then asked if Joshua and Fury would go after Dubois depending on who wins their fight in December.
“I think Joshua, if he beats Fury, tries to go for Dubois for the rematch. I think he’s the kind of guy to think, you know what, I’m going to get this kid back. Fury and Joshua, for as great as they’ve been, they should leave Dubois well alone. I’d be leaving him well alone if I was one of those guys.”
Dubois has said he wants unification fights and one possible route is a second fight with current strap holder Filip Hrgovic who holds the IBF belt, having stopped Moses Itauma last time out. The pair last fought in June 2024 when Dubois secured a knockout in the 8th round.
