A Premier League star's girlfriend has spoken of her devastation after their home was burgled while he was scoring for his team in the Carabao Cup. The ace's partner took to social media to share her distress at the awful break-in.
Thierno Barry revealed that his home was broken into during Thursday's Carabao Cup fixture against Newcastle United. The Everton player's partner, Charlene, announced the incident in a post, she wrote: "Unfortunately, our home was burgled this evening while we were at the football match. Thankfully, nobody was home at the time, but this is still an extremely distressing and violating experience for us and our family.
"If anyone has seen or heard anything suspicious, or has any information that could help, we would be incredibly grateful if you could get in touch.

"We are also willing to offer a financial reward for any information that helps identify those responsible. Thank you to everyone for your support."
The news follows a spate of similar incidents involving footballers, with Morgan Gibbs-White also falling victim to a burglary this week. The Nottingham Forest player's partner, Britney De Villiers, revealed on Tuesday that their family residence had been targeted.
She said: "I wasn't going to publicly share this but our home was burgled a few days ago and after hearing about another one since, I feel it's important to just warn others. It's incredibly unsettling knowing that homes are being targeted.
"Please be extra vigilant, make sure your security systems are on whether you're in the house or not and report anything suspicious. Thankfully, nobody was home when it happened and material things can be replaced but it's a horrible feeling knowing someone has violated your home, especially when you have young children. Please stay safe and look out for one another."
Barry was instrumental in his team's 3-1 triumph over Newcastle United while the break-in at his property occurred, with Everton progressing to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals following the victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
James Garner put the Toffees ahead just 34 minutes in with a swift turnaround deep inside the Magpies' territory. Amar Dedic lost possession to Tyrique George down the left flank, with Hayden Hackney delivering a first-time pass into the penalty area for Garner, who bent his effort beyond Lukas Hornicek.
Hackney doubled the hosts' lead right before the interval, with Barry locating the midfielder centrally in the box - minimal effort required as he struck from short range to increase his team's cushion.
Barry, for his part, sealed the deal for the Toffees with roughly 20 minutes remaining, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall surging forward on the break before laying it off to the Frenchman at the far post. Although Dan Burn salvaged some pride with a powerful header in the dying minutes, his effort amounted to little more than a consolation, as Newcastle were unceremoniously knocked out of the competition.
Everton will face Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on home turf on 15 December. Elsewhere, Crystal Palace host Sunderland AFC, Liverpool take on Bournemouth at Anfield, and Manchester City face Bradford at the Etihad Stadium.
