Dylan Tait has crowned the impressive start to his Dundee United career with the Premiership player of the month award for October.

The midfielder, who joined from Falkirk in the summer, helped United to home wins over Hibs and Aberdeen plus draws at St Johnstone and Celtic last month.

Tait, 24, netted against the Dons and provided assists for the other two goals, scored by Zidane Iqbal and Zac Sapsford, in the 3-2 victory.

The 24-year-old - tipped for a Scotland call-up by Tannadice manager Jim Goodwin - has been instrumental in United's current six-game unbeaten run that has lifted them to sixth place before Saturday's visit of Motherwell.
