Arsenal star takes drastic action as Mikel Arteta gets serious about team leaks

Arsenal new boy Christos Tzolis has been forced to take drastic action after his FPL team was leaked last week.

After a stunning season in Belgium with Club Brugge, Tzolis joined the Premier League champions in the summer for a fee of £34 million.

The Greece international has played 10 times in all competitions, the latest of which came as a substitute in a 2-1 Champions League away win over Slavia Prague.

Arsenal's Christos Tzolis forced to take drastic FPL action

He started the 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday but the former PAOK player appears to be the cause of Mikel Arteta introducing a strict new rule involving fantasy football.

It's emerged that Tzolis' FPL team was leaked ahead of the trip to Liverpool and showed he was indeed starting for the fixture.

Tzolis had himself and Arsenal teammates Riccardo Calafiori and Ezri Konsa in the side, along with the likes of Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Morgan Rogers.

However, fans have spotted that that is no longer the case. Arsenal's No.17 has elected to use his wildcard and subsequently got rid of all of his Arsenal players.

He still has Haaland, Rogers and Thierno Barry in his side but there is not a single Arsenal player in his entire squad.

As per Highbury Corner, the same can be said for an unnamed Arsenal staff member - who has removed all Arsenal players.

It appears as though the directive has come from the top in a bid to prevent any potential team leaks going forward.

Arteta is known to focus on small details and it is now been claimed that anyone at the club cannot have Arsenal players in their FPL team - therefore missing out on a fair amount of points.

Premier League manager came up with genius solution after FPL leaks

In February 2021, Aston Villa boss Dean Smith was left furious after an injury sustained by Jack Grealish got out through FPL.

Villa faced Leicester City in the Premier League, with their talisman ruled out. But the news emerged earlier than anticipated as a number of Villa players, including Matt Targett, Conor Hourihane and Neil Taylor, had transferred him out of their teams.

An FPL tracker account became aware of the activity. Villa lost 2-1 and afterwards Smith fumed, "If it's coming out of our training ground, then I find out where it is coming from and reprimand where it's coming from."

He added: "Yeah, it certainly does [give a leg up] and it's something I wouldn't be happy with so we'll certainly get to the bottom of this."

On FPL, Smith delivered a memorable line when he said, "I don't play it, I live in the real world not the fantasy world."

The 55-year-old did then come up with an easy fix when he told his players to either not play or use a different pseudonym.

He stated: "There's simple solutions. For me, just don't play it or make sure your name isn't on the name of the user."
