The ladies took to the Sarum Academy field on Sunday, November 1 in the Ladies League Cup against Malmesbury Victoria FC Ladies for a place in the semi-finals.

The team started strong, putting pressure on their opponents from the start and creating multiple chances.

However, Malmesbury's goalkeeper made several impressive saves to keep the scoreline down.

The breakthrough came when Rach made a "brilliant solo run" down the right and calmly slotted the ball to the keeper's right.

Despite a renewed energy from Malmesbury after the break, Salisbury's defence held firm.

The team continued to push forward, seeking a second goal, but the score remained unchanged.

A spokesperson for Salisbury said: "One goal. One clean sheet. Job done in 90."

The team also praised Evie for her performance, saying she "put in an absolute shift, chasing down every ball, shutting down attacks and giving the opposition no breathing room."

She was described as "defensively rock solid" while still managing to provide an attacking option down the flank.

The spokesperson added: "A big thank you to Malmesbury for a competitive afternoon and a hard-fought cup tie. We'll see you again in the league over the coming months for another battle."
