WWE legend Ric Flair has given fans a health update after being diagnosed with a blood clot and taking a nasty fall outside a restaurant in Florida.
The 77-year-old ex-wrestler, who used to go by the nickname Nature Boy, shared an update on Instagram from his hospital bed, posting a photo of himself wrapped in a blanket with an eye patch taped over his right eye.
According to TMZ, Flair had been at a restaurant in Tampa on October 23 before walking outside and taking a sudden, hard fall in the street. He sustained deep cuts to his head and eye, prompting medics to rush him in an ambulance to Tampa General Hospital, where he was treated until the early morning hours for potential concussion concerns.
Despite the ordeal, Flair seemed in good spirits on his update, publicly thanking the hospital staff and promising to personally reply to fans’ well-wishes as he regains his strength.
The visit came just hours after Flair was forced to pull out of a scheduled convention appearance in Seattle. At the time, the 16-time world champion revealed he was dealing with a dangerous blood clot in his leg, which doctors warned made long distance flying impossible.
Amid the initial wave of worry, supporters received welcome reassurance from Flair’s daughter, WWE superstar Charlotte Flair, who shared an update on her own X account to let followers know about her father’s health.
“Not my dad telling the doctor he fell bc of warrior dropping him on his head…,” she wrote in the caption. “(ps: he’s going to be ok.)”
Across both posts, fans, celebrities, and those in the wrestling community expressed their support for Nature Boy. Snoop Dogg commented, “Love u Rick,” while Killer Mike of Run the Jewels wrote: “Heal Up, Champ! Woooooooo.”
WWE referee Charles Robinson wrote: “Get well Champ. Love you.”
Meanwhile, on Charlotte’s X post, a fan wrote: “That’s your dad LOL Love it!!! Glad he is going to be ok. Nothing keeps him down,” while another user commented, “Charlotte, you are very patient when it comes to your father.”
Flair also used his social media statement to address and apologize for “reckless posting behavior” on his official Facebook page while he was hospitalized. Clarifying that he no longer owns the account, he slammed the unauthorized video posts uploaded during his medical emergency as “completely inappropriate.”

The confusion stems from an ongoing legal dispute in which Flair previously filed a $10 million lawsuit against a digital talent agency, which he accuses of seizing control of his official social assets and monetizing his legacy without consent.
As Flair focuses on his recovery, the wrestling community continues to rally behind one of the most decorated champions in history.
