Florida failed to put up its first four-game winning streak of the season after the Red Wings scored twice in the opening 3 minutes of the third period to put a damper on the Panthers’ debut of their bright new unis in a 5-3 win.

Detroit has won three of its past four.

The Panthers never had the lead on Monday but tied the score at 1 and 2.

The start of the third, however, was a killer for Florida.

Florida is back home Wednesday against the Chicago Blackhawks.
