Former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend says he was impressed with how Spurs limited Chelsea's counter attacks on Saturday and were not turned over as easily in midfield.
Reflecting on the improvement in performances and results in recent games, Townsend told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club: "From the eye, I think their press has been good all season and that hasn't been the worry.
"Whether it's been Dominic Solanke, Savio or Omar Marmoush, they have been pretty aggressive in their starting positions and winning the ball back.
"The biggest difference against Chelsea was how well they kept the ball and limited counter attacking opportunities.
"You can see some improvements from their first game to now with how Roberto de Zerbi has got them playing."
But The Athletic's Adam Crafton says the real test will be how they fair against Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town and Fulham in their next three home games.
"This is still a fragile team where if they went a goal down at home it would still pose questions for them," added Crafton. "I don't think that gets fixed in two weeks just because of a couple of a wins.
"But after what they spent, they should be winning a couple of games."
