The Arizona Cardinals will take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday for the second time this season. For the second time, they won't face Seahawks starting quarterback Sam Darnold.
In Seattle's 34-17 loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night, Darnold suffered a quad injury and cracked a rib, but he finished the game. Head coach Mike Macdonald announced Wednesday that Darnold will not play vs. the Cardinals. Drew Lock will start in his place.
Lock started in Week 2 against the Cardinals, leading the Seahawks to a 31-7 win. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
The announcement did change the betting lines. After the Seahawks were 11-point favorites to start the week, with the announcement that Lock will start, the point spread has now shifted to 8.5 points.
The Cardinals and Seahawks kick off Sunday at Lumen Field at 4:25 p.m. ET (2:25 p.m. Arizona time). Garnder Minshew will start at quarterback for the Cardinals against them.
