Rangers have secured the services of a former Liverpool chief, who spent over 10 years at Anfield, and nearly two years at Chelsea.
The hierarchy are continuing to bolster the behind-the-scenes ranks as they aim to modernise the club and make them the top side in Scotland again.
Results on the pitch have been good this term, but performances can only be sustainable if there is a good structure in the background.

Who is Rangers' best-ever right-back?
Rangers have secured the appointment of Ellis Nickson, with him taking to LinkedIn to confirm his move to Ibrox, becoming the club’s International Soccer Academies Manager. Nickson was at Chelsea, but parted ways with the London club in October to join the Light Blues.
His career began in coaching, with his first role being a head coach at World At Your Feet Soccer Academy in Manchester. Following that, he took his first steps into full-time management, serving as the head coach for The Manchester College for three years.
In 2014, Nickson joined Liverpool as their Pre-Academy and International Academy coach. He was in that role for over two years before he was promoted to head coach and then Academy Manager of Liverpool IA in Japan.
He was also the Reds’ International Academy Programme Manager until May 2025, before he moved to Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge, he was in charge of Senior International Football Development and Events.
Confirming his move to Rangers, he wrote: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as International Soccer Academies Manager at Rangers Football Club!”
