A bantamweight matchup looks to have been put together for January 31.

Since flyweight and interim welterweight title fights were announced for UFC 336, the promotion hasn’t made any other matchups official.

It is still yet to be confirmed that Daniel Rodriguez will be facing Roberto Soldic following his post on social media.

While fans can likely expect some official news about this line-up in the near future, a new report has revealed the fourth bout that fans can expect to see.

Louis Lee Scott finally set to make his debut when facing Serhiy Sidey at UFC 336 says report

On November 7, it was reported by Vestnik MMA on X that Serhiy Sidey will be competing inside the Octagon for the fourth time at UFC 336.

Following his back-to-back decision wins and over a year and a half away from competition, he’ll take on a debutant at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on January 30.

Louis Lee Scott has also had a long lay-off after winning his contract via Dana White’s Contender Series despite missing weight ahead of the bout.

Dana White said that it’s almost a guarantee that Lee Scott wouldn’t have got offered a contract due to this setback only to overlook this due to his performance.

The 10-0 Brit went into that fight with an injury, with his coach confirming in June that this was only made worse by the time he spent inside the Octagon.

“The surgeon said there was like a gap in his knee so reconstructive surgery, that happened about six months ago,” Carl Prince told The Kings Court when sharing details of his fighter tearing both meniscuses.

The Manchester Top Team head coach added that he expected Lee Scott to be back in full training in July, which would have been around the six month mark of an expected ten month recovery.

If the bantamweight fighter and his team were able to stick to this schedule, this would give the 26-year-old around two months of being fully fit, which makes a January return make a lot of sense.

Carl Prince isn’t concerned by how much time Louis Lee Scott has had off

Louis Lee Scott knew he needed to make a statement to get offered a UFC contract after missing weight for his Contender Series fight.

He did that, but then had to focus on his recovery before being able to fully reap the rewards of the third-round stoppage he secured in August 2025.

Carl Prince told The Kings Court that while it’s been a long road back for Lee Scott, he doesn’t doubt whether this will have hindered the undefeated fighter’s development.

“I’ve been having him boxing since like a month after [surgery] so he stayed ticking over. Really improved on his hands which really should have been his focus so again, life happens for you,” he said. “I always say to the guys injuries are opportunities and he’s been in the gym every single day.”

With a UFC contract secured, this may have allowed Lee Scott to take some time to really evaluate his game ahead of making a jump that many fighters struggle with.
