AC Milan’s European campaign takes them to the south coast of England as they face off against AFC Bournemouth tonight.
Milan come into the game having won two on the spin, with those victories being 4-0 against RB Salzburg and 3-2 against Atalanta. However, their hosts have a bit more confidence too, having followed up a 3-0 win over Sturm Graz with their first Premier League triumph, against Sunderland.
There was a double injury blow for the Rossoneri on the eve of the game, as Samuel Chukwueze requires a specialist check on his hip, while Goncalo Ramos complained of a calf issue and needs a scan. Neither have made the trip, leaving Ruben Amorim with less firepower.
Below are how the newspapers look in Italy this morning, with each of them mentioning the test for the Diavolo against the Cherries.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan and Juve: test of the 9s. Ramos injured, it’s Cisse’s turn in Bournemouth.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Ramos sidelined, Cisse as a false nine. Milan in Bournemouth at 21:00 CEST: Camarda on the bench.”
Tuttosport: “Ramos sidelined. Cisse steps in to spearhead the ‘Euromilan’. In addition to the Portuguese player (calf issue), Chukwueze is also out. Up front, the young Italian – the Rossoneri’s top scorer – looks to celebrate his 20th birthday with goals.”
QS: “Ramos out. Cisse ready to dazzle Europe again.”
