The Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked to not just one, but two exciting wide receiver trades as the November 10 NFL deadline quickly approaches.
According to NFL insider Jason La Canfora, there are two wide receivers to keep a close eye on when it comes to a potential Steelers trade: Ladd McConkey of the Los Angeles Chargers and Brian Thomas Jr. of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"After decades of operating as a conservative front office, the Steelers are wheeler-dealers now," La Canfora wrote. "One scout suggested to me that someone like Chargers wideout Ladd McConkey might be the kind of target Rodgers would enjoy throwing to to help sustain drives. Brian Thomas Jr. of the Jaguars is another name to keep an eye on."
McConkey, who was drafted by the Chargers in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, quickly became one of Justin Herbert's favorite targets in Los Angeles, recording 1,938 yards and 13 touchdowns on 148 catches over the past two seasons. His lengthy injury history could knock his price tag down a tad, but it likely wouldn't be cheap for Pittsburgh to bring him in.
Thomas, who was drafted by the Jaguars with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, found tremendous success as a rookie, recording 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024. Unfortunately, his production fell apart in 2025 and to start 2026, accumulating just 812 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the past 20 games.
We at Steelers Wire will heavily monitor the trade situation in Pittsburgh over the next few weeks, with wide receiver, cornerback, or safety being the most likely positions the team addresses.
