Former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. couldn't have picked a worse week to have the game of his life.
Edwards Jr.'s time in Madison was cut short due to injury, but he decided his college football journey wasn't done as he linked up with Bill Belichick at North Carolina.
The Tar Heels just took No. 1 Miami to its limit, only to fall, 38-35.
That said, Edwards completed 28 of his 34 passes for 341 yards with four touchdowns.
Wisconsin is fresh off an embarrassing 30-0 shutout loss in Iowa City, where Old Dominion transfer Colton Joseph was benched after going 5/14 for 90 yards.
For reference, Joseph has thrown for 359 yards in his last four games combined.
Edwards Jr. just lit up the No. 1 team in the country, only for none of it to matter as the Tar Heels fell to 4-4 on the year.
Fellow former Badger, Trech Kekahuna, finished third on the team with three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
