Thomas Tuchel is set to name his England squad this week, and he's been tipped to call up Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall is yet to make his England debut, despite an impressive career at Premier League level. The now 28-year-old made his name in the top flight during his time at Leicester City, before earning himself a move to Chelsea.

It didn't quite work out for him at Stamford Bridge, as he was rarely given an opportunity to impress in the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall was a regular during their Europa Conference League campaign, but he was clearly unhappy with the lack of minutes.

Everton took advantage and made a move to secure his signature, and he's been a key player for the Toffees ever since.

Dewsbury-Hall has undoubtedly taken his game to the next level, but not enough for Tuchel to give him some recognition.

The Everton midfielder previously admitted that he's been called up to the bigger squads that are named before it is narrowed down, but he's still yet to be involved in an England camp.

Journalist Henry Winter has called on Tuchel to give Dewsbury-Hall his long-awaited England call-up, suggesting that he deserves to be in the squad based on current form.

"If Thomas Tuchel picks on form, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall deserves to be in the England squad announced on Friday morning. Everton midfielder bossed Newcastle United last night. Brings a winning mindset and intensity - pressing and tackling. Brings a touch of finesse, 2 goals and one assist in 9 Premier League games, glides with the ball. Versatile, can play at 6, 8, 10. Wherever he plays, KDH brings the best out of those around him."

Winter notes his discipline, something which he's spoken about with David Moyes and the coaches at Everton. Winter also discusses his availability and importance to the Toffees, with the midfielder almost always playing nearly 90 minutes for his team.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall stats Everton

"Superb discipline: 1 yellow, 3 fouls in 804 minutes. This time last year, KDH served a one-game ban after 5 YC in 6 PL games, two of which were ridiculous (for taking a quick free-kick v LFC and what most people saw as a fair tackle on Kyle Walker-Peters WHUFC). Those were poor decisions by officials but he’s clearly worked on avoiding others. He spoke to David Moyes and coaches at Finch Farm. KDH’s consistency and importance to Moyes is clear: of Everton’s 9 PL games this season, he has played 89, 90, 90, 90, 89, 90, 90, 86, 90."

Whether Tuchel agrees with Winter remains to be seen, but if he's been watching Everton's previous two games, it certainly wouldn't be a surprise if Dewsbury-Hall did get a call-up.

In reality, Dewsbury-Hall should have had a call-up to the England squad a long time ago.

The issue has been, of course, that he has plenty of competition for the number 10 position, including the likes of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Jude Bellingham.

Despite that, Dewsbury-Hall deserves to at least have a chance to prove himself to Tuchel in an England camp.

Whether that leads to regular game time for his country remains to be seen, but it is about time he's at least recognised by the national team manager.
