The Southeastern Conference football race is a mess, with eight teams sitting between 5-1 and 3-2 in the standings, including LSU. The Tigers begin a crucial three-game stretch against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee on Saturday, and our LSU Insiders are here to break down the stretch, make sense of the chaos and discuss what it will take for LSU (or anyone else) to make the College Football Playoff.

In addition, we discuss:

• Would LSU even want to make the SEC championship game?

• How players' draft prospects could affect LSU's stock in 2027

• Gov. Jeff Landry and his role in LSU athletics
