Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich said this week that the Falcons plan to use linebacker James Pearce in a pass rushing role against the Bengals in Madrid this Sunday, but the team didn’t guarantee he’ll be playing on their final injury report of the week.
Pearce is listed as questionable to play in his first week back from an eight-game suspension. Pearce was a full participant in practice this week and was not dealing with any injury earlier in the week, but the team listed him with a back issue on Friday. They will have to formally add him to the active roster in order for him to be in the lineup in Week 9.
The Falcons also listed linebacker Divine Deablo (forearm) as questionable to return after missing the last two games. Deablo was also a full participant in practice.
Linebacker Yasir Abdullah (hamstring), defensive back Billy Bowman (hamstring), wide receiver Beaux Collins (hip), and offensive tackle Cameron Williams (ankle) are also listed as questionable after full practice participation.
Wide receiver Zachariah Branch (hamstring) was ruled out earlier this week and did not travel to Spain. Running back Brian Robinson (hamstring) was ruled out on Friday.
