Colombian media on Camilo Duran: ‘Continues his argument’

Leading Colombian journalist and analyst Carlos Antonio Velez said on Win Sports: “Look, I have to check the schedule, because there are always a lot of things to say.

“The Durans. Camilo and Jhon. And yesterday, Camilo made headlines again. He’s a player who has been selected. Camilo Duran, in 14 games, 1008 minutes? Eight goals and five assists.

“Yesterday, he reappeared, and counting all competitions, he has 11 goals and five assists. Camilo plays on the right-wing almost all of the time. Right and central channels.

“In all club competitions in 2026-27, 1800 minutes. And we must add again what he did in the national team and some friendlies that are not there in the official list.”

Revista La Liga was also singing his praises. They wrote: “Camilo Durán continues to make his mark on Scottish football. The Colombian striker scored again on Wednesday in the 2-2 draw between Celtic and Dundee United, in matchday 11 of the Premiership, bringing his season tally to 11 goals.

“His contribution confirms his rapid adaptation and increasingly important presence in the Glasgow side’s attack. The goal extended the Colombian’s good form, as he had also been instrumental in the recent 2-1 victory over Hibernian.

“His ability to finish near the goal is providing immediate answers for Celtic, who see him as a constant threat to turn games around. Although the result left mixed feelings, Durán once again delivered a positive note.

“His 11 goals this season reflect a productive start and fuel expectations surrounding his performance. Celtic maintains first place with 28 points, while the Colombian continues to build prominence based on his main argument: appearing in the area and scoring.”

Additionally, leading outlet AS Colombia also covered Duran’s exploits, writing: “Camilo Durán’s scoring streak continues. For the fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership match, the Colombian striker found the net. He scored in the 2-2 draw against Dundee [United] at Celtic Park on matchday 11.

“The 24-year-old from Santa Marta was responsible for opening the scoring. In the 18th minute, after a great team move, Callum Osmand sent in a cross from the left that Benjamin Nygren met at the far post and headed down for Kasper Hogh, who received the ball on the edge of the area and pivoted to assist the Colombian, who finished with a first-time shot.

“With this goal, Camilo Durán reached 11 goals in 18 matches. The player has 7 in the Scottish League – where he is also the league’s top scorer and has five assists – 2 in the Champions League Qualifiers, 1 in the Europa League, and 1 in the League Cup.”
