FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 24 October, including the latest updates on Leonard Prescott, Aleksey Batrakov and Felix Nmecha.
Article continues under the videoArsenal are keeping tabs on the situation of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Leonard Prescott, TEAMtalk claims.
The 17-year-old goalkeeper, believed to be a generational talent, is out of contract next summer and reportedly reluctant to sign fresh terms in Munich due to a lack of a first-team pathway. Reports in Germany have been linking the teenager with Chelsea and Juventus since the previous transfer window.
It is now asserted that Arsenal are also among the sides monitoring Prescott's situation, as are Tottenham and "a number" of German clubs. Prescott turns 18 next September and has been hailed as one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers in all of Europe.
The same outlet also writes that the Premier League's biggest hitters are all scouting Galatasaray playmaker Aleksey Batrakov.
The Russia international joined the Turkish club this summer and has now scored in back-to-back Champions League games. Scouts from Arsenal and Liverpool have been "wowed" by Batrakov's performances, while there is also interest from Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City.
Batrakov is said to have a €60 million release clause in his contract. However, it is unclear whether a move is possible due to the sanctions regime against Russia. Lokomotiv Moscow would be owed 15% of the profit, while the player would need to secure the paperwork to live and work in the UK. All of this could complicate a move.
Liverpool are in contact with the camp of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, Sky Germany understands.
The 26-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga in recent seasons, and he has never made a secret of his desire to return to England after coming through the Man City academy.
No immediate bid is expected for Nmecha, who signed a new long-term contract in the spring, but Liverpool have sounded out the situation in their search for a new midfielder. An €80m release clause in his deal becomes active in the summer, but it expires in June.
Kendry Paez is looking to leave Chelsea in January, as per Nicolo Schira.
The Ecuador international returned from a second unsuccessful loan spell in the summer, but Chelsea failed to find him a new club and demoted him to the U21s, with Xabi Alonso publicly confirming that the 19-year-old was not in his plans.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano recently hinted that Paez could be offloaded permanently in January, with Chelsea having "different plans" for the teenager compared to some of the club's other youngsters who did get sent out on loan.
Earlier this week, Liverpool informed Valencia of their intention to trigger the €30m release clause in David Otorbi's contract, according to Tribuna Deportiva.
The 19-year-old's agent confirmed last week that there was a "big market" for his client, with numerous Premier League clubs reportedly keeping a close eye on his development. Liverpool seem to have made the first move.
However, Valencia have preemptively exercised a three-year extension in Otorbi's deal, which would otherwise have happened automatically after a certain number of appearances. In doing so, the LaLiga side have doubled his release clause from €30m to €60m.
