CeltsAreHere understands Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun Yang Hyun-jun trained at Lennoxtown on Wednesday morning, providing Martin O’Neill with a welcome fitness boost ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Beşiktaş.
The South Korean international has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury while representing his country at the Asian Games, missing Celtic’s recent domestic and European fixtures.
His return to the training pitch represents a positive development after several weeks on the sidelines, although it remains unclear whether he will be available for selection against the Turkish side.

“Yang is doing really well. I think it’s next week that he will start training with us.”
That timeline has now been met, with the 24-year-old taking another step towards returning to competitive action.
Yang last featured for Celtic against St Mirren on September 5, when his second-half goal secured a 2-1 victory in Paisley.
He had enjoyed an encouraging start to the campaign, registering three goal contributions in his opening seven appearances.
Yang’s absence has been felt during a difficult period for Celtic, with O’Neill’s side struggling for consistency in the final third.
Callum Osmand has featured on the left wing in recent weeks, while Jota has also been building his fitness following his lengthy injury absence.
However, returning to training does not necessarily mean the winger is ready for immediate match involvement.
Celtic face Beşiktaş at Celtic Park on Thursday evening, looking to secure their first points of the Europa League league phase.
O’Neill is expected to provide further clarification on Yang’s availability during his pre-match media duties, with the manager also assessing other fitness concerns ahead of the European encounter.
