League One side Bromley could have new owners in the not too distant future and one of the investors will be an Everton cult hero, if a deal goes through as planned.
The London side, who have enjoyed an incredible rise in recent seasons, earning promotion from non-league for the first time in the club's history, and then making it to League One last season, are set to see massive change at the club.
Manager Andy Woodman was sacked last week, having guided the club to those two promotions in three years and he is set to be replaced at the helm by former Charlton Athletic and Oxford United boss Karl Robinson. Robinson is set to be joined in the dugout by Jermain Defoe, who will become his assistant manager.
But while there will be new people in the dugout and on the training pitches, there are also set to be new faces behind the scenes too.
Bromley are set for a major financial takeover with current majority owner Robin Stanton-Gleaves locked in talks over selling the club.
Bromley are bottom of the League One table - hence Woodman's departure - and know that they need serious investment if they are to maintain their position in England's third tier and potentially move even further up the leagues in the future.
And Stanton-Gleaves is in ongoing talks with a consortium that is led by former Everton striker Victor Anichebe, to complete a takeover at the club.
Speaking in his exclusive newsletter, GMS senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs said: "So Karl Robinson has come in, he's replaced Andy Woodman, and Jermain Defoe is set to form part of Robinson's coaching staff.
"And now Victor Anichebe, the ex-Everton player, is fronting a consortium from Africa and they're in advanced talks to buy Bromley, so that's going to be really interesting to look out for.

"In addition to that, I am told that there's a fair amount of financial backing there."
Anichebe was born in Lagos in Nigeria, but spent the majority of his career in English football, joining the Everton youth team in 20023 at the age of 15.
He spent ten years on Merseyside, before moving to West Bromwich Albion and then Sunderland, before finishing his career in China with Beijing Enterprises Group, a career that left him among the highest scoring substitutes in Premier League history.
