Rotherham United travel to the Copperjax Community Stadium on Saturday for their first foray into the FA Cup when the referee will be Sam Mulhall.
Previously from Northwich Sam now works for the FA in London as a Learning and Development Officer and also is the Anti-Doping Co-ordinator. He spent two and a half seasons in the National League with his first League game coming at Harrogate in December 2024.
Sam has only been in charge of one Millers game in the past and that was in April at the New York Stadium. Luton Town were the visitors and two first half goals from Kasey Palmer gave the Hatters all three points. Rotherham had already been relegated the week before this game but did have fifteen shots at goal although three were on target but they couldn’t find the net. There were three yellow cards in the game one of which went to James Clarke for the Millers.
Sam has been in the middle for five games this season showing twenty-three yellow cards.
Running the line on Saturday we have Alex Bradley and Paul Kelly and the Fourth Official will be Tommy Breen.
