Haissem Hassan has made a rather interesting start to life at Celtic following his summer transfer from Real Oviedo.
One thing is for sure: Hassan is an entertainer, but he can’t help the fact that he has walked into a mess at Celtic that stems from last season’s chaos.

Here is how we think Celtic should line up against Besiktas. What changes would you make? There's no place for Callum McGrgeor 👀
It’s crazy that it’s taking a former Rangers player to come to the aid of a Celtic player, and how he is being talked about in the media.
There has been a common theme associated with the Egyptian winger ever since he stepped foot into Glasgow, and that’s his defensive work or lack of it, with Sutton stating it’s a ‘disgrace’ on Sky.
Si Ferry interestingly stated on Open Goal that Hassan was wrongly criticised for how Celtic conceded their second goal against Falkirk.
The former Hoops player felt that Callum McGregor was at fault, while Halliday wanted to focus on the volume of criticism the all-action winger has been receiving.
Halliday stated ‘all the focus’ is on his lack of tracking back when he feels that Hassan is actually showcasing something with the ball.
Yes, you would want the player to be a bit cleaner in the final third, but it’s not his fault that his teammates are unable to make better use of the constant chances he creates.
Si Ferry: “Pundits after the game were saying it’s Hassan’s fault (Falkirk’s second goal) for not following the fullback. It’s not Hassan.”
Andy Halliday: “I couldn’t believe the amount of times Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton were mentioning Hassan not tracking back.
“When the fact of the matter is, he is the only Celtic player in possession who looked like he was going to do anything for them. Like create a chance, beat a man one-v-one.
“Whereas all the focus is on the fact that he doesn’t track back. I can’t get my head around it. It is brought up four or five times a game. There is never any recognition of what he does on the ball.”
