Blackburn Rovers secured a third successive home league win as Andri Gudjohnsen's brace saw them beat Wrexham 2-0.
It is the first time Rovers have won a hat-trick of matches at Ewood Park for more than two years, with their talisman on target with two excellent finishes.
After a quiet first half, Gudjohnsen was alert to finish the rebound after Anthony Patterson had pushed out Sam Morsy's strike.
Wrexham had their moments, with Sean McLoughlin needed to clear Kieffer Moore's goal-bound strike off the line.
But the home fans were spared a nervy finale as they doubled the lead with 10 minutes remaining. Todd Cantwell did excellent to feed Gudjohnsen and he controlled before delivering an emphatic finish for his ninth goal of the season already.
That ensured victory for Tony Mowbray's side, who have already matched the number of home wins they managed in the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign.
Mowbray was forced into two of his three alterations, with key men Ryoya Morishita and Kristi Montgomery missing out. Mathias Jorgensen's absence from the substitutes left the bench looking a little light.
In wet and windy conditions at Ewood Park, both teams had spells of pressure without really testing the goalkeeper. In difficult conditions, it would be a test of grit and desire as much as nice football.
It wasn't until just before half-time that the first chance materialised. Hayden Carter thought he'd scored when he managed to divert a corner goalwards, only for the ball to come back off the inside of the post and land gratefully in the arms of the helpless Patterson.
Fortunately, the opener followed shortly after. Credit to Moussa Baradji, handed his first start of the season in Montgomery's absence, for his quick feet, before finding Morsy.
His stinging shot was pushed out into danger by Patterson and expertly steer in by who else but Gudjohnsen. That was the striker's eighth of the season, continuing his purple patch in front of goal.
Rovers had a glorious chance to double their advantage shortly after the restart. Todd Cantwell put Dapo Afolayan through on goal but he was denied by Patterson, who spread himself well.
Wrexham continued to pose a threat from set-pieces and aerial duels. Sam Smith met Callum O'Hare's cross and flicked a header just wide of the post.
Rovers then needed McLoughlin to be alert as he cleared Moore's goal-bound effort off the line and to safety. With 25 minutes to play, a second goal was a must to avoid a nervy finish.
Thankfully, Rovers duly delivered. Gudjohnsen grabbed the clincher with 10 minutes to play, controlling Cantwell's excellent pass before producing a lethal finish into the back of the net to make it nine goals the man with 9 on his back.
That proved to be the final action, with Rovers managing the final stages to maintain a clean sheet for the third time this season.
