Trabzonspor haven’t given up on Tottenham Hotspur‘s Richarlison after missing out on signing him in the summer.
The Brazil international had several opportunities to leave the Premier League side in the last window. However, he wasn’t successful, even though clubs from England, Turkey and Brazil were keen on securing his services.
His failure to find a way out of Tottenham has already proved costly. Roberto De Zerbi has left the forward out of his core plans, forcing him to settle for minutes with the U21s.
Earlier this week, Sport Witness covered a report from France that Spurs wanted to sign Marseille’s Amine Gouiri. However, the move didn’t go through because of their failure to offload one of Richarlison and Dominic Solanke.
The 29-year-old can have a new opportunity to leave Tottenham Hotspur as early as the winter market.

We recently relayed news that both Trabzonspor and Galatasaray want to sign him and are working behind the scenes. The two Turkish clubs are in talks to secure his services.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who requested €20-25m in the summer, are asking €10m to cut ties with the player in January.
Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, relayed by Taka Gazetesi, states Trabzonspor could ‘make a renewed attempt’ to sign Richarlison in the next window if the conditions are suitable.
In order to make room for him, the Süper Lig side first have to get rid of a foreign player. Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovskyi and Nigerian Paul Onuachu are considered as candidates for sale.
If a foreign quota becomes available, it will depend both on Tottenham Hotspur’s price and Trabzonspor’s squad planning, most likely funds.
The South American’s contract expires at the end of the season. This means the January window will be the north London club’s last chance to cash in on his sale.
Although it looks like Spurs have a big say, in reality, they may not demand a lot, more so because Richarlison hasn’t featured this season.
