Weymouth welcome the Southern League Premier outfit to the Bob Lucas Stadium today off the back of an impressive 4-1 win against Bristol Manor Farm on Tuesday.
The Dorset club also put three past Barnstaple last weekend making it seven goals in two games.
In fact, the Terras have now scored 51 goals in 18 games, averaging just shy of three goals a game.
On top of that, the club has recorded three clean sheets in its last four games, tightening up at the back, although, conceding goals has hardly been the issue this season.
Outside of cup games, they have conceded just 8 goals in 11 games, one of only two clubs still in single figures. Add in cup games and they have conceded 11 in 7, although, five of those came in the shock defeat to SE Dons.
When asked about the club's run since that humbling FA Cup defeat to south east London club, Wells said: "We are in a good spot. Everyone is happy and the team is in a good place."
Asked about tightening up at the back, he added: "I think to be fair people have looked at who we have played against and I have never felt it was out of hand.
"It's been something made from the outside but we showed we can do it, but look, we have scored the most and conceded the least in this league so far."
Turning his attention to Sholing, Wells knows the Southampton-based club will be coming into the game in high spirits having reached the FA Cup first round proper.
On Saturday's opponents he said: "They're a league above but it will be no different than from before. Both teams will want to win.
"They'll be buoyant after their FA Cup run and that they are a league above. But we'll be going into the game looking to win."
But clearly Weymouth's strength this season is goals and the fact they have them coming from across the pitch.
Yes, Toby Holmes and Brooklyn Genesini are in double figures, but the later is out injured and the Terras have moved beyond relying on just one person to pitch in.
This season Tom Bearwish - who returns this weekend - and the likes of Tor Swann and Sam Jackson have been scoring goals at vital times. Swann's hat-trick against Swindon Supermarine in the FA Cup a perfect example of other players stepping up.
On scoring from across the team, Wells added: "Yeah, it is a great reaction to last year.
"It is really great to see everyone fighting for their spots and getting amongst the goals.
"Everyone is all in and that is important so we are in a good place."
