Seattle Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer believes Sebastian Gomez has "unlimited potential" amid the youngster's fine run of form.
Gomez came off the bench to score for Seattle for the second straight match on Saturday, in a 2-2 draw with San Diego FC.
He became the fourth Sounders player to come off the bench and score in two straight regular-season MLS matches, joining Fredy Montero, Obafemi Martins and Sammy Ochoa.
And Schmetzer feels the sky is the limit for the 20-year-old.
"The kid has a really, really, really bright future as long as he stays at this club," Schmetzer said.
"He's that good. I love smart players. Some of the things he did were veteran-like moves.
"The kid's got unlimited potential. We're lucky to have him. He's making my life difficult."
Seattle take on the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday.
The Sounders sit seventh in the Western Conference, two places and four points behind the Dynamo.
Seattle led 2-0 against San Diego, only to throw their lead away, in what was a huge blow for Schmetzer.
"It feels like a loss," Schmetzer said. "We were much better than them. We should have closed that game out.
"Those guys put every piece of themselves into that game and we should have come out with three points."

MATCH PREDICTION: SEATTLE SOUNDERS WIN
The Dynamo have won one of their last 11 regular-season matches (D7 L3), including going seven straight without a win (D5 L2).
This run came immediately after a stretch of five straight wins from late June through mid-August.
Seattle have won only four of their last 20 MLS matches (D7 L9) dating back to mid-May, with all four wins coming consecutively in September and October.
However, Seattle have suffered just one defeat in their last 12 matches (W4 D7), including drawing the last two.
The Sounders are unbeaten in 19 all-time home matches against Houston in all competitions (W14 D5), though the Dynamo have earned draws in their last two visits to Lumen Field.
Houston have scored five goals in those 19 matches, never scoring more than once in any match.
