Neil Lennon says Scottish football faces 'big questions' ahead of special Glasgow event

The former Celtic boss, who has called Glasgow home for more than 20 years, will join Aiden McGeady and James McFadden at SWG3 for a one-off evening lifting the lid on Scottish football.

Neil Lennon has never been one to shy away from the big conversations in Scottish football. And now, the former Celtic captain and manager is preparing to take them from the dressing room to the stage, as part of a special live event in Glasgow next month.

Having made Glasgow his home more than 20 years ago, with longstanding ties to the city's west end, the Northern Irish manager has experienced more than his fair share of highs, lows and headlines during his now famous career in the Scottish game.

From lifting trophies at Celtic Park to navigating some of football's most challenging moments, the 55-year-old has seen the game from almost every angle, now managing Dunfermline Athletic, he remains one of Scottish football's most recognisable and outspoken voices, particularly with his TV appearances.

Set to appear at In Good Company, a new live football event taking place at Glasgow's SWG3 on Sunday, November 1, with tickets available now via SWG3.com, Neil believes there has rarely been a more interesting time to talk football.

With plenty of debate surrounding the state of the Scottish game, including Celtic's recent performances, the development of young Scottish talent and the ability of domestic clubs to compete in Europe, there's set to be an array of hot topics for the show.

Speaking ahead of the event, Neil said: "There's probably never been a more interesting time to talk about Scottish football. There's a lot happening, a lot changing, some big questions around where the game goes from here.

"How do we get more young Scottish players playing first-team football? How do we make our clubs stronger and more competitive in Europe? How do we develop players, keep producing talent, and make the domestic game as strong as it can be?

"I've seen Scottish football from pretty much every angle, as a player, captain, coach and manager. So it would be good to get under the bonnet of some of that stuff. We'll be covering the hot topics and the harder questions too. It's not about one club or one set of supporters. It's about having a proper conversation about the game."

Neil will be joined on stage by former Celtic and Republic of Ireland star Aiden McGeady and Scotland favourite James McFadden, bringing together three of the most recognisable names in Scottish football, each with their own stories, experiences and perspectives on the game.

Hosted by comedian Ray Bradshaw, In Good Company is the brainchild of former Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan, who wants to create something different from the traditional football fan event.

Taking place at SWG3, one of Glasgow's best-loved cultural venues, the evening is designed for football fans looking for something beyond the usual club colours, rivalries and raucous fan nights. The idea is simple: bring players, pundits and fans together in one room for the kind of conversations usually reserved for dressing rooms, television studios and behind closed doors.

And it's about the whole experience, not just what happens on stage. Guests can expect DJs, comedy from Ray Bradshaw, complimentary half-time steak pies and 90 minutes of lively, honest football conversation, including the chance to put their own burning questions to the panel. With three hugely experienced football personalities sharing a stage, and plenty happening in the Scottish game, there's unlikely to be a shortage of talking points.
