Halloween has come and gone, the calendar has turned to November and the 2026 women's soccer regular season is officially nearing its end (if it hasn't already, as it has for some teams).
No. 1 Vanderbilt capped off an unbeaten regular season with a 3-0 win against South Carolina on Nov. 1, bringing the Commodores' record to 16-0-1 entering the SEC tournament. No. 2 North Carolina blanked SMU, 2-0, and will finish its regular season with a road match against No. 12 Louisville.
No. 3 Ohio State beat rival Michigan 3-1 in its regular-season finale thanks to a brace from Jadin Bonham, and will face off again against the Wolverines in the first round of the Big Ten tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 4. No. 4 Wake Forest came back to beat Pitt on the road, 2-1, after scoring two goals in a stretch of 45 seconds in the 78th and 79th minutes.
Not every top-five team was able to keep up its winning ways last week, as No. 5 Duke fell 2-1 to 22nd-ranked, reigning national champion Florida State after giving up two goals in the opening 13 minutes.
Here's a look at how those results impacted the latest IWSOC Coaches Poll:
