Michael Olise has already established himself as one of the most exciting attacking players in European football, but could the Bayern Munich winger be preparing to take another major step forward with the French national team? Former England striker Michael Owen certainly believes the talent is there.

Asked whether the next European Championship could be the tournament where Olise elevates his game to another level, Owen praised the Frenchman’s outstanding season at Bayern and suggested that his performances have put him among the club’s very best players.

“Well, he was incredible last season, some would say Bayern Munich’s best player,” Owen told Casino.org.

That is significant praise considering the company Olise keeps in Munich. Harry Kane has continued to produce extraordinary goalscoring numbers, while Bayern’s attack features an abundance of elite-level talent. For Olise to be considered one of the team’s standout performers speaks volumes about the impact he has made.

“Now, if you’re playing better than Harry Kane, then you’re going some. It’s amazing to see the way he’s kicked on in his career,” Owen added.

The former Ballon d’Or winner also highlighted the extraordinary depth available to France, where Olise must compete with a collection of world-class attacking players for a place in the starting lineup.

“He had a great season, but the talent in the attack there, you’re leaving world-classplayers on the bench. It’s just incredible, that French team,” Owen said.

That depth presents both a challenge and an opportunity for Olise. Establishing himself as a regular starter for France will require him to maintain his Bayern form and deliver on the international stage, where competition for attacking positions is fierce.

Still, Olise’s combination of creativity, dribbling, and decisive final-third contributions makes him an exciting prospect for France’s future. If he continues to develop at Bayern Munich, the next European Championship could provide the perfect platform to demonstrate just how high his ceiling really is.
