The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Denver Broncos on Sunday 30-16 at State Farm Stadium and had more struggles in the red zone. They fell to 2-5 this season, and that means that quarterback Jacoby Brissett is now 3-16 in 19 starts with Arizona.
They have gone 1-for-10 in the red zone over the last two games, but head coach Mike LaFleur isn't making any changes at quarterback. After the game on Sunday, he said that Brissett would continue to be their starter despite their record and their problems on offense.
On Monday, he reiterated that fact.
"Like I told you guys, he’s still the starter," he told reporters. "It’s collective. Again, if the ball was just stagnant for 60 minutes and you couldn’t even cross the 50-yard line, it’d be one thing. We’ve been down inside the 10-yard line 10 times over the last two games, so the ball is moving, but we have to finish jobs. Again, that starts with me, but that’s a collective effort. The players have to go execute and I have to put them in better positions and give them the clarity to go do so."
Brissett appeared to injure his left wrist in the loss on Sunday. LaFLeur said there are no concerns about Brissett's availability this week.
