With his 57 rushing yards in Thursday night’s 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Derrick Henry moved into seventh place on the NFL’s all-time leaderboard (13,707 yards).
The Baltimore Ravens’ running back passed up Pittsburgh Steelers icon Jerome Bettis (13,662) and LaDainian Tomlinson (13,684) on that list, and is now chasing Pittsburgh native Curtis Martin (14,101). Henry has been floated as a trade candidate, with the Ravens now sitting at 4-5 after four straight setbacks.
His frustration was evident following the primetime loss.
“Wasn’t good enough, gotta be better, they were the better team, same story,” Henry said.
Henry is on pace for his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season. He led the NFL in touchdowns on the ground in 2024, going for 16. He had just as many last season. This time around, his 175 carries pace the league.
He began his career carrying the ball for the Tennessee Titans for eight seasons, going for 2,027 yards in 2020. He has the most rushing yards in the league since entering it in 2016.
Bettis played 10 seasons in black and gold, rumbling for 10,571 yards and 78 touchdowns. Both of those marks are second in franchise history to Franco Harris, who piled up 11,950 yards and 91 touchdowns.
