Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will fight for Christian M'billi's WBC super middleweight title on Saturday when they meet in Riyadh

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will make his long-awaited comeback this weekend when he fights to become world champion. Boxing’s Mexican superstar will face WBC titleholder Christian M'billi in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and fans can order the fight here.

M’billi (29-0-1, 24 KOs), will be making the first defence of his super middleweight title, while Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) returns to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Alvarez lost his undisputed super middleweight crown that night but has been training with one of boxing’s greats in preparation for his latest bout.

Ahead of the fight, Alvarez has been training with two-time world heavyweight champion and ‘good friend’ Oleksandr Usyk. The pair have been filmed in the gym under the watchful eye of head coach Eddy Reynoso and Usyk’s team.

“Usyk and I have always been very good friends and we talk every time we see each other,” Alvarez told The Ring. “I saw a lot of videos and I asked, they put me in the gym and I very much appreciate them.

“They teach me a lot and I learn very fast. I like it, I enjoy it, I feel very good.”
