Rangers have had some incredible goalkeepers in the past, including the likes of Andy Goram, Allan McGregor and Stefan Klos.

Each stopper can arguably be considered the best to ever take up their position between the sticks for the Light Blues.

Rangers News is asking fans via TalkingPoints to vote for their favourite Gers goalkeeper of all time as part of the Best XI series.

Rangers News’ pick: Andy Goram

Andy Goram is widely regarded as the best-ever Rangers goalkeeper, and he gets our vote as well. Signed in 1991, the Scotsman played a pivotal role in guiding the team to multiple league titles in the nine-in-a-row era.

He also shone in the inaugural Champions League season and won a number of individual awards highlighting his importance to the team. Goram is already inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame and is our first entrant in the all-time eleven.

Making a case for Allan McGregor

Allan McGregor may be some fans’ pick due to his longevity over two stints at Ibrox. The Scotsman made over 500 senior appearances for the club and is undoubtedly a modern-day legend.

He won multiple trophies at the club, most notably the 55th Scottish Premiership title under Steven Gerrard. Even at 40, he proved to be an extremely reliable shot-stopper and is still on the books as the Lead Goalkeeping Coach.

Making a case for Stefan Klos

Filling Goram’s shoes was never going to be an easy task, but Stefan Klos made it look simple. Having signed from Borussia Dortmund after winning the Champions League, the German showcased just why he was rated as one of Europe’s top keepers.

He made over 200 senior appearances for Rangers, winning a number of league titles, Scottish League Cups, as well as Scottish Cups. Klos was also an assured presence at the back and someone who led by example.
