Week 3 of the NBA season is nearly complete, which means it’s time for another edition of our weekly fantasy awards. Every Friday, we will recap the last seven days of the fantasy season with the most worthy players for each award. Check out who received honors this time around.
After Wembanyama’s 52-point, 24-rebound, 8-block masterpiece Wednesday night, how could Fantasy Player of the Week be anyone but him? Over the last week, Wembanyama has averaged 35.7 points, 14 rebounds and a difficult-to-comprehend 5.7 blocks. While Luka Dončić had a Player of the Week worthy week, Wembanyama was otherworldly this week. Wembanyama continues to be the No. 1 player in fantasy.
Robinson was a key player for the Pistons this week, averaging 22.7 points and 2.3 steals over the week. It was mentioned on our Week 2 waiver wire leaderboard that Robinson would be a good source of points going forward. With Tobias Harris in San Antonio and Jalen Duren still injured, the Pistons need a No. 2 scorer behind Cade Cunningham. So far, that has been Robinson, who is second on the team in points (19.0) as well as field-goal attempts (11.9). He is rostered in just 57% of fantasy leagues at the moment, so if he is available, he can be a great source of points and steals for the foreseeable future.
Acuff has been a high-volume scorer since the start of the season, but his efficiency has picked up over the last week or so. In his previous three games, he averaged 28.3 points on 42.4% shooting from 3-point range. Not only that, but the seventh overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft has been cleaning the glass (for a guard) and facilitating, averaging 4.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists. His best performance of the past week came on Oct. 31, when he dropped 38 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 56 High Score fantasy points against the Grizzlies.
It’s only Week 3 and we’re already wondering if anyone can challenge Wembanyama for even a few games this season. For the second straight week, he’s taking home Defensive Player of the Week after tallying four steals and 17 blocks over his last three games. Those 17 rejections beat out any of the next four leaders in combined steals and blocks alone. His best defensive performance came in his iconic 52-point, 24-rebound game against the Mavericks. Not only was he a monster on offense, but he recorded 2 steals and 8 blocks on the other end for a league-leading 110 High Score fantasy points.
Thompson wasn’t getting nearly as much playing time as he’s received over the last four games. His first five contests saw him average 19.9 minutes, but that has jumped to 27.8 since then. Fantasy managers have taken notice, rushing to add the sharpshooter, who is currently hitting 3-pointers at a 41.3% rate to start the season. By far, his best performance came on Nov. 4 against the Clippers. Thompson dropped 30 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists on 11-for-22 shooting (including the game-winning 3) to tally 44 High Score points. Miami should look to get him more involved in the offense as a floor-spacer to complement Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
