McQueens Dairies to sponsor Greenock Morton youth academy

McQueens Dairies has been announced as the new sponsor of Greenock Morton's youth academy, backing the programme until the end of the 2027/28 season.

A statement from Greenock Morton said the 'significant sponsorship agreement' will help to 'support the development of the club’s young players as they continue their footballing journeys'.

The deal comes as the future of the Inverclyde club hangs in the balance, with the Sinclair Street side previously reporting a significant shortfall in required funding to see out this season.

The club said: "The partnership represents a major commitment to the future of Greenock Morton, with the youth academy continuing to play a vital role in developing young talent and providing a pathway to the first team."

The academy has already played a key role in player development, with several graduates making their professional debuts this season.

The club said the deal highlights 'the importance of investing in the next generation of Morton players and creating opportunities for young footballers to fulfil their potential'.

The club placed on record its thanks to McQueens for their support during a 'crucial' period for the Scottish Championship side.
