After the victory in the derby against Inter, AC Milan have two more games before the November break. However, the mercato never stop.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the official announcement of Markus Krösche’s arrival as the new Head of Football is expected on December 1st. Amorim will meet with the German to explain the squad’s needs ahead of the January window, with Gerry Cardinale insisting the club will be ‘active’.
The Rossoneri will therefore return to their search for a defender, especially considering that in the final days of the transfer window they made an attempt for Sporting CP’s Gonçalo Inácio.
The Portuguese club rejected Milan’s offer, attempting to get a better price while also not having time to replace him. Milan are expected try again for Inacio, who played 186 matches under Amorim at Sporting between 2020 and 2024.
The Amorim-Krösche discussion will inevitably also bring up the question of the striker, more specifically the fate of Francesco Camarda. He has only five appearances and 96 minutes of action, so a loan for the second half of the season is not ruled out.
It will therefore be necessary to decide what kind of player to pair with Gonçalo Ramos. The former PSG player continues to play a key role for the team, with a spirit of sacrifice that drives him to run a lot, so Amorim and Krösche will have to factor that into their strategy.
