WWE Raw: Women’s World Championship match added to the show after Stephanie Vaquer deemed unable to compete

A major change has been made to tonight’s WWE Raw after a star has been deemed unable to compete on the show.

At WWE Money In The Bank, Liv Morgan regained her Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat.

Liv had lost her title to Stephanie at a WWE live event in Chile in which Becky Lynch served as the special guest referee, with Liv being screwed out of the title by Becky.

Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer continue to butt heads

Ever since both Becky and Stephanie made their return to WWE television on the Raw after SummerSlam, they have both been butting heads with each other as they attempt to get the Women’s World Championship from Liv.

The tensions between Stephanie and Becky have continued to come to a head, with a match between the two announced for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Fresno, however, there has now been a major change made to the show.

Stephanie Vaquer not cleared to compete

At WWE Money In The Bank, it was reported that Stephanie Vaquer suffered a legitimate injury, though she was not expected to out of action for long.

Stephanie had since made her return to the ring during WWE’s live event in Hawaii, where she unsuccessfully challenged Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship.

However, despite appearing at the live events, Stephanie was again deemed unable to compete the following night on Raw.

Last week, it was announced by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce that Stephanie had been cleared to return to the ring, with a Women’s World Championship Number One Contender’s match between the two of them being announced for tonight’s episode of Raw.

However however, Stephanie’s status has become even more confusing, as Adam Pearce opened tonight’s episode of WWE Raw to announce that Stephanie had not been cleared to return to the ring, meaning that her announced match with Becky would no longer be taking place.

In it’s place though, Pearce would announce that Liv Morgan would defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch in tonight’s WWE Raw main event.

The Women’s World Champion is scheduled to face off against the WWE Women’s Champion at Crown Jewel next weekend, with the currently slated match being Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green.
