Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. with TD catch in midst of trade speculation

The Jacksonville Jaguars strike first in a pivotal division game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence capped off a 12-play, 98-yard drive for the Jaguars with a third-down touchdown pass to wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. to give Jacksonville an early 7-0 lead. It is just his second touchdown of the season.

Here is a look at Thomas Jr.’s touchdown, courtesy of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ official social media:

Jacksonville is currently on top of the AFC South with a 4-2 record. However, a loss today to the Colts would put Indianapolis only two games behind the Jaguars in the loss column. Furthermore, the Jaguars would also have a 0-2 division record, which could be problematic down the stretch.

For Thomas Jr. individually, the touchdown is significant given all the trade rumors surrounding him. Prior to this touchdown, he had no receptions in the Jaguars' previous two games.
