Tom Nolan punched his ticket to a top 10 ranking last night (Sat., Oct. 31, 2026) at UFC Vegas 123 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Australian contender laid waste to lightweight veteran Renato Moicano with a third-round TKO (punches and elbows).
This fight started fast and it quickly favored Moicano. That’s because “Money” was able to lean on his grappling early on to score a takedown and move to back control. Nolan did surprisingly well in defending all fight-ending submission attempts, but it was still a great start for Moicano. The veteran lightweight continued his efforts early in the second round with another takedown of Nolan. This time around, the referee didn’t allow Moicano as much time in back control and eventually stood the fight up. That’s when Nolan took over on the feet and started to hurt Moicano with punches and a massive knee inside.
Nolan, who regained all momentum to close out the second round, went in for the kill in the third. He was able to hurt Moicano and quickly jumped on top for huge elbows and punches that had “Money” on the ropes. The referee warned Moicano to fight back, but he was toast. Nolan walked away with the biggest win of his career.
