After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Leeds United have had a strong start to their Premier League season so far, and it's in large part due to the brilliant work that Daniel Farke has done as manager.
The German looked to be on the brink of the sack last season after a slow start, but quickly switched his tactics and style to suit the squad and Premier League more, and has seen a huge uplift in performances and results ever since.
After securing a 14th-placed finish in the Premier League last season, Leeds currently sit 7th this season with just one defeat in their opening eight games.
But the results and standings could be even better, with Leeds having drawn five of their eight games so far, including a 0-0 draw with Sunderland this past weekend at the Stadium of Light.
A lack of goals has been an issue, with just nine scored so far, and last season there were concerns too. Despite signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor, Lukas Nmecha, Harry Wilson and Jean-Matteo Bahoya to strengthen the attack since their return to the top-flight, the players haven't done enough in front of goal.
Calvert-Lewin netted an impressive 14 last season, but so far in this campaign he has managed just four goals. Okafor scored eight times last season but has one goal this season, Nmecha scored seven times last season but hasn't netted at all this season, while Wilson and Bahoya are also yet to open their accounts for the club.
The 0-0 draw against Sunderland showed the issues the squad has, and highlighted that the team has problems if Calvert-Lewin isn't firing on all cylinders.
Speaking after the game, Farke defended his fellow German Nmecha, who replaced Calvert-Lewin during the game but had next to no impact, as Sunderland held out for a clean sheet in a game that was far from eventful.
“Each and every player is dissimilar to a different player, but the good thing is that Lukas has also similar strength to Dominic," he said.
“His physicality is there, also his workload against the ball is quite good. He's capable of scoring goals, also sometimes out of nothing. He’s also good with his head. So I trust them both.
“I always can trust Lukas if he comes in or if he starts from the beginning. Of course, it's not like in each of the game possible to shine. Even also for Dominic, it's not possible in each of the game to shine.
“But I totally back my strikers to do the job, and whoever is on the pitch has my backing and has my trust. And I'm always quite confident that they can show really good and also important performance.”
But Farke is wrong. Nmecha has had a number of opportunities to show himself as a Premier League level striker, and he hasn't taken any of them. If Leeds are serious about pushing for European football this season, then they need to find an answer to their lack of goals, and that means upgrading on their options.
There were question marks over the signing of Calvert-Lewin at the time of his arrival due to his injury record, but the England star has been a rousing success since moving to Elland Road.
But the opposite can be said of Nmecha, who joined on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in the same summer. The 27-year-old has managed just seven goals in 37 appearances for the Whites, but he has regularly been just another body on the pitch rather than someone making a genuine impact.
Calvert-Lewin's injury record is still something lingering, and if he were to be ruled out for any period of time, then Leeds would have serious problems with finding the net. Nmecha has proven he isn't good enough, and January would be the ideal time to replace him.
It's been reported that he wants to play more regularly, and that should open the door for the 49ers to move him on and bring in a replacement who is not only better, but can also push the competition within the squad more.
Farke has got a lot right during his time at Leeds, but he's wrong about Nmecha, and the January transfer window is the perfect time to correct that.
